Jason ParlourBEng(hons) Dip.Hyp Reiki III TeacherJason is a qualified Reiki level 3 master/teacher. With more than twelve years professional experience in complementary therapies, he began his professional Reiki training in the remote southern Alps of New Zealand in 1996 (although has been studying a number of complementary therapy techniques for much longer). Jason began looking into the complementary therapies at the age of just 14 years and although he followed the more traditional routes of science through to gaining an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cardiff University, he has always felt drawn to using the wide variety of his skills and therapy techniques in something more, and ran a part time clinic in complementary therapies, throughout his University student experience. Coming from a very conventional family background, Jason was introduced particularly to Reiki after an abseiling accident in which he fractured his foot. After receiving a single Reiki treatment and then beginning his level 1 training, his foot had healed in just 4 days. Jason is a fully qualified Hypnotherapist and Hypnotist, having completed two diplomas with the British Academy of Hypnotherapists. He has gained an NVQ in full body massage, completed training in Indian Head Massage, as a Transforming Tension Coach, in Advanced Kinesiology, and teaches regularly in the voluntary sector and further education. As a company director Jason is a firm believer in Continuing Professional Development, and continues to study a great number of additional complementary techniques, including: Tai Chi, Inversion Therapy, Shiatsu, Aromatherapy, Feng Shui, as well as various forms of meditation, he has also spent more than 3 years counseling with a voluntary help-line service and went on to coordinate the national branch (whilst still studying for a Mechanical Engineering degree he passed with honours!). On the commercial side, Jason believes that to effectively manage an organisation, he must have a good understanding of all aspects. For this reason he has taken a great deal of study in Web design, Computer programming, Sales and Marketing, Communication, Stress Management, Accountancy, and effective Human Resources. However, to develop any successful business can rarely be achieved by the efforts of just one person, which is why Jason utilises the skills of many national professionals and friends to develop and grow processes and achievements that can be made available to all.
